This week’s post is a look back to two recently completed projects for our repeat client McCarthy Stone.

This was a pair of projects running close together to create two separate and very high-quality retirement living complexes about five miles apart around Ipswich in Suffolk.

Both schemes had been carefully designed to fit into their locations, one a city centre site, reused by clearing redundant office stock, with specific planning constraints and input around the facades. The other a development site within a suburban setting.

The projects included a range of highly specified, and architecturally influenced products across uPVC and Aluminum doors and windows, as well as composite front doors.

The projects were excellently run by our client, and a pleasure to work on. They were worth around £300k in contract value to our growing business.

The end result is a large range of apartment and houses, providing specific targeted homes for the local retired community.

Housing of this sort makes a huge contribution not only for its direct audience but also for the wider health of the housing market by creating availability of family homes into the market.
